We hear over and over again that it is difficult for disabled families to do ordinary things other families take for granted. It is the constant struggle with the simple things that makes life more difficult for disabled families.

We work with families to find out what they need to help them embrace self directed support. We listen to their concerns about self direction and the practical difficulties they experience when they go down that route. We are developing a model to support personalisation that is based on families' direct experience.
