IBK are working with a gentle and intelligent lady who wants to recruit a PA to support her in her day to day life. The lady has a diagnosis of ataxia which has had a profound effect on her physical and mental well-being. She has very limited vision and needs physical support with showering, dressing and keeping safe in the community. The lady is a very talented artist and loves music, she also loves her animals and has an adorable dog who dotes on her!
5.5 hours a week . The day can be decided on to suit the successful applicant, but will be in one block of 5.5 hours each week.

Job description
The lady requires a gentle and positive PA who will understand when she is feeling low and work at her pace when she is in pain. It is important that household tasks are done with and not for her as she is keen to maintain as much independence as possible. Your role will include supporting the lady to :
- Help with light household duties and laundry
- Help with paperwork – computer skills required
- Help with some personal care and showering
- Support with shopping
- Cooking – lifting heavy pots and pans
- Support to attend such centres as Clifford House and do crafts.
- To feed cats and dog if required
- Support to sort out belongings if she should move house
