Hi there! My name is Vicky and I have the pleasure of working directly with families who have a Direct Payment/Personal Budget and who are looking to employ a Personal Assistant (PA). My role is to match each individual person, family, child or young person with the perfect PA. I love the variety this gives, but most of all the job satisfaction resulting from achieving this and hearing back about the positive impact PA’s have on families is beyond amazing! I’ve been doing this since 2015 at ibk with my wonderful colleague Kate. Together we meet families and compile job adverts, interview PA’s, liaise with Social Workers/Nurse Assessors to follow the steps so that we can introduce PA’s that meet what the person needs and wants and can genuinely enhance the lives of the people they are working for. I am proud to create the opportunity for wonderful relationships to be created. We are a small, very close team at ibk and together we will go the extra mile without doubt. We are a little ibk family!
At home, I am Mum to 2 teenage boys who are both sport crazy, especially football and cricket. My evenings are spent organising football matches and at the weekend I will often be pitch side cheering them on. I also love to go for a run (well jog!) as often as I can with my friend, although my husband says we spend more time on the street corner chatting afterwards than we do on our run!

I have been part of the Ibk team since 2016, and during this time I have had the pleasure of supporting many Inspirational, Brave and Kind families and individuals who are navigating the world of Social Care, Health or Education using direct payments, personal budgets or other funding streams.
My role is to ensure that the quality of services our team deliver every day, is exceptional. We aim to successfully support families and individuals to achieve what they want from life and to ensure that this is not limited by or defined by their “disability”.
My passion for this work is led by my determination to “make a difference” and I am proud in the knowledge that together with the rest of my amazing Ibk team, we will continue to do our very best to achieve this and much more.
When I am not working, I am enjoying precious time with my own family and friends, which includes 4 furry pets and a pond full of fish!

My name is a Kate and I have been part of the IBK family since 2014! I job share with the wonderful Vicky as a PA Recruitment and Development Worker. I work with families to support them to find and recruit the right PA’s for them, I love getting to know a family and what they are looking for. I write job adverts, interview PA’s, organize introductions, liaise with professionals, attend job fairs and lots of things in between! There is no better feeling than making a perfect matching and watching a PA relationship blossom. I am also involved in the SNIPS befriending scheme which provides young people under the age of 18 with a 1:1 befriender. Befrienders make a huge impact on young peoples lives and it is a pleasure to see the progress young people make under this scheme. Alongside this work, I am a safeguarding lead and work in compliancy across the organisation.
At home, I am Mum to 2 young boys and cat Mum to our kitten Pickle! I love reading, cooking, baking, swimming and jogging. We love being out and about as a family and I am always planning our next adventure!

I originally applied to be a Personal Assistant at IBK as I’d been seriously ill which had changed my plans for the future. Due to having health conditions of my own, the job really appealed to me as I felt I had so much empathy for those individuals who needed help. Although I didn’t have the correct experience for the role I applied for, I was invited to become a volunteer in the office. Since the first day IBK have made me feel so welcome, as well as being so patient and understanding it just shows how everyone here cares so much about what they’re doing. It feels great being part of the process for families to be matched with their perfect PA.
At home I live with my partner, where we love to cram as many holidays in a year. When I’m not travelling or planning my next trip, I enjoy socializing with family or friends with cake and coffee or doing yoga.
