PA Recruitment

We know that the recruitment, training and retention of Personal Assistants (PAs) is the most challenging aspect of having a Direct Payment or Personal Health Budget. As individuals or families, we probably did not imagine that we would become employers in order to get the support we need and the life-style needed to keep us physically and emotionally well.

IBK offers support with the recruitment of PAs to help you with all the tasks associated with finding a PA and learning to be an employer.

We offer help with all aspects of the recruitment and initial settling in period with your PA. We can help you with: putting together an advert; thinking about the qualities and skills you need your PA to have; writing a job description; shortlisting; preparing questions for the interview; being alongside you during the interview; conducting the first interview on your behalf; helping you de-brief after the interview; and putting together an induction plan for your new PA. We will go alongside you in this process in the way that suits you best. We offer you our expertise and experience in recruitment, at the same time as adapting the process in the way that is most comfortable to you.
