Job description

The initial focus of the role will be to spend time with this young boy at home. As his trust in you develops, you will go out and about with him in the community.

The role will be varied from week to week based on what the young boy would like to do.

As you do tasks and activities you will support the child with his language skills.

10 hours per week either after school or at the weekend. The exact days and times can be agreed between the successful applicant and the family.

If it suits the successful applicant, the hours can be used differently in school holidays to allow for a day trip. There is also funding for 1 overnight stay per month. The PA would sleep in the family’s house and his family would have a night away.

The current PA takes the young person to her house after school and he enjoys playing with her children. The family appreciate this may not work for every PA and it would not affect your application if this wouldn’t work for you, but the family would be open to gradual introduction to a PA’s children if this was appropriate.
